Master of Pagansim

Over the years I have done a tremendous amount of studying, traveling on my own spiritual path. I have been a solitary practitioner and I have been a member of a coven and both experiences have added to my life in (mostly) positive ways, just as this course has. One of my relatives initially suggested this as a “first” course and I have to say, I was impressed.

The lesson that I enjoyed the most was the second lesson on deities, primarily because of one simple reason: my wife and I have recently settled into a branch of paganism and it allowed us both to research and expand our knowledge. I researched multiple deities extensively, read their myths and was completely absorbed in learning as much as possible. While that particular lesson was not the only reason for research, it did spur quite a bit “in the name of research.”

There has definitely been a noticeable spiritual growth as well – a while back I went through my year and a day. I ear deep in learning and study. This course has brought me full-circle, I was ear deep in research trying to learn whatever I could and reading everything I could get my hands on.

While there were some lessons I did not fully agree with, that is a part of life. You cannot always agree with someone one-hundred percent of the time. It’s the growth and the measure of a human being if you are able to put your differences aside enough to have a civil discussion and compare research notes.

Honestly – I cannot wait to start my next course and continue my journey towards being a full on chaplain. It has always been one of my goals and I definitely look forward to the intense research and soul-searching.
