UNIVERSAL LIFE CHURCH
DISTANCE LEARNING SEMINARY PROGRAM
The ULC Courses are listed below.
The Universal Life Church is a unique organization because we allow people to become ordained first and get training later. Because of this unusual set-up, it seems only natural that our Seminary Program would have to be unusual as well.
The ULC Seminary offers a growing list of over 28 interdenominational on-line courses leading to a Master of Ministry and Dr. Ministry graduation 'degrees' approved since 2004 by the State of California* for personal enrichment and non-secular private institutions that accept distant learning and on-line study graduates. For more information and to apply, go to Seminary Application.
Seminary Application - To apply to be a seminary student, this page has all you need to get the free mailings and the status of being a seminary student. You will get exclusive seminary student mailings along with samples of all the courses.
Student Letter - This is a letter from one of our seminary student graduates who want to talk about what it is to be a seminary student and what it is to be a minister. If you're not yet sure you are ready to take the step, hear from someone else who has.
|Seminary Graduates - This page lists the graduates of both the Seminary Program and the Chaplaincy Program. If you have graduated and are not listed, please let me know, as I do get behind and I occasionally forget to update things.||Creating Your Own Church - If you are interested in creating your own church or ministry, here are some pages for you to use. They are samples, so you can copy them and change them to suit your personal situation.|
|Chaplaincy Program - The Chaplaincy Program is a separate program from the Seminary program, although all courses you take during the Chaplaincy count towards seminary graduation. Click for more information.||Discussion Forum - This is where our ministers get together to talk about their courses, beliefs, share ceremonies and stories of their ministries. It's a great place to meet some ministers and see what being a ULC minister is all about.|
|FAQs - This is a wide selection of frequently asked questions about the Seminary, being a minister in general, and many pages about some of the many religions in the world and of our ministers. Your ministering abilities will be enhanced by knowing about the beliefs of others.||About Us - The ULC Seminary has been around since 2004 and is affiliated with the real, original Universal Life Church in Modesto, CA. To understand the differences between the various groups using the name of the genuine ULC, visit Change of Site for a video and more information.|
|Course Submission - If you would like to submit a course for the seminary, please check out this page to review the submissions guidelines. We are always looking for different courses.|
As a new student of the seminary, you are taking a huge step in your spiritual development. Congratulations on starting on this amazing journey. As a seminary student, you will be receiving mailings from the seminary about every two weeks. You'll get samples of the different courses, special essays, exclusive information to help you be a better minister and much more.
We are constantly working on updating our class selections.
When you are ready to begin classes, simply go to the shopping cart and add the desired class. Upon completion of the class, you will receive your degree and your seminary units will be added on your record.
Currently, to graduate, you will need 40 units of courses to complete the master of Ministry program and 60 for the Dr. of Ministry. We do not accept life-experience degrees or credits, nor do we accept degrees from other schools. We will, however, accept some previous ULC-issued degrees for elective credits.
Fill out the application below to enroll in the program and receive our monthly newsletter and special mailings that go only to Seminary students. Put ONLY your first name in the "First Name" field (no titles or initials please). We will obtain your mailing address when you enroll in a course, if we do not have it already, so it is not necessary for this form.
If you have any questions about this program, contact the director at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to help you in any way.
