I am liking this course more and more! I foudn the explanation of the 3 practices to be interesting and correct. There exists today a Druidic organisation entitled the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids, also known as OBOD and I believe that the distinctions listed in the course are a good introduction to these three classes. Briefly, the structure whereby the Bards are historians and storytellers, the Ovates are the diviners, and the Druids practitioners is a wonderful model of society. It is markedly different that the structure that we see today where history is underappreciated, divination is non-existent, and the rule-givers and judges are elected according to party and not by ability. Somehow, the older systems seems more logical
The 10 Druuidic specialisations could become a course in themselves and the categories, while perhaps arcane by today's standards, are a fascinating exercise in esoterica. It is a refreshing departure from the drab, mundane, materialistic milieu that we find today
Finally, the nine types of marriages, also known as the "Marriages of Degrees" is strange yet common-sensical. Some marriages or unions are not meant to last forever! I look forward to my next lesson!
Yours in the Way,
Jean
