Greetings!

This lesson was about choices and responsibilities. The beauty of Wicca and paganism in general is that they are not religions with rigid, spelled-out guidelines. They are in fact religions with rather vague yet powerful requirements such as "An it harm none, do what you wilt". There are many that see the "do what you wilt" part and feel that is the sum of the law. However, it is really the "An it harm none" part that is exceptionally difficult. And - one must not forget that harming one's self is also causing harm
The exercise which asks that we detail our choices for the week and their consequences is beautiful and insightful, all rolled into one. The course, much like the maxim, is direct and to the point. One must not, however, mistake simple and direct for merely simple. In the very simplicity in which the material is presented, the complexity of the task at hand is found. A truly excellent lesson

Yours in the Way,

JP :coffee:

and in 8 words, you have learned what most people never do.

wicca is a simple earth based religion, but within the simplicity is the complexity.there are all kinds of debates within and without wiccan circles as to what"harm" means(something like the pureland buddhists used to wonder about).no one agrees what it means,or doesn't.
